Craig ‘mac5910′ McDowell is the latest NPF Champion as he beat 78 other players for the 2011 NPF Champion status, trophy and bracelet.

Last year’s new chip leader hoody feature returned this year in pink which was held by Scott ‘Scotty’ Hocking for most of the tournament.

This year, day 1 finished early at 20 players and Scotty kept the overnight chip lead closely followed by hard6unt. Emma Fullarton was the first to be knocked out on day 2 by Scotty who increased his chip lead by some margin. It was not long before a final table was hit after a couple of hours play.

The final table was as follows:

Seat 1. Scotty -  85,000
seat 2. MR DAZ – 24,000
seat 3. mac5910 – 74,000
seat 4. Happydaze – 72,000
seat 5. Titch – 60,000
seat 6. Hard6unt – 90,000
seat 7. Dom – 100,000
seat 8. Lydz – 166,000
seat 9. scoop – 19,000
seat 10. Rosi-  93,000

Dom built up his chip stack as the early aggressor on the final table but it wasn’t too long before his stack dwindled to some bad beats. MR DAZ as the first player to exit after getting it all with vs AK vs AQ vs AQ only for a Q to hit on the turn.

The players slowly dwindled without many huge notable hands it eventually got to heads up between mac5910 and Happydaze. After mac5910 knocked out rosib in 3rd he became the marginal chip leader heads up. Happydaze managed to gain a 3/1 chip lead until mac5910 got it all in with 96 vs A10 with a 9 on the flop, a 10 on the turn and the river card was a 6 to keep him in the game.

It eventually came down the final hand with mac5910′s A10 vs Happydaze’s Q8, the ace held and mac5910 was crowned the champion.

The final standings were:

1st. Craig ‘mac5910′ McDowell’
2nd. Hazel ‘Happydaze’ Birchnall
3rd. Rosi ‘rosi’
4th. Scott ‘Scotty’ Hocking
