Cardroom Management

popped into stanleys/ circus today and would like to echo davys sentiments (im not sure its a post, a chat or a PM) regarding the positive attitude of stanleys towards poker and future competitions. It seems they've given poker and the control and management of the cardroom alot of thought and have developed almost a stategy for dealing with the strains and commitments of cardroom management. It seems they are looking to the future whereas many casinos just try to judge it;; stanleys are actively seeking and entising its players while others just provide for the average turnout.
I was talking to the manager/supervisor there who was intune with current events (still wearing my t-shirt from the forum game and he knew where Id been) and also very complimentry about the website. He also seems to understand the workings of the cardroom and the paperwork thats associated.
Id also say if his reactions anything to go by hes really keen to rise to the challenge davy laydown over results. He seems to really want to make this work and wants people to know it; his interaction and friendliness were a breath of fresh air compared to bygone days in stanleys.

HEAR HEAR- the room just needs player support now because I really do think the scope is there for it to be a great success. Lessons to be learnt I hope by others.

Its early days, but i genuinely believe that the starting position for building the card room is to interact with the players and provide good customer service.
This must be continued throughout the team. We cannot control the number of entrants, but we can help ourselves to be talked about in a positive light.

The forum can play a key role for all of the card rooms in Newcastle. In fact when my General Manager returns I will be telling him that the potential of the forum cannot be undervalued and that our business requires 100% participation.
