Arrived safe n sound and canny flight that Virgin one. Plenty eats n drinks all the time but the films they had on were crap.

Set this thread up so easy for any backers in my games to keep track.

Checked into Caesars and me n Mrs decide to have quick nap before going out= wrong as we wake up 8.00 the next day :):)

Nice to read Mr E is having fun on his travels in the USA :) he arrives here on the 17th

was as I said. They dont check it straight through. Had to collect there but its just around the corner to Virgin check in. Doddle tbh.

Don't scrimp on the description of the hotel, some of us are gannin there shortly. Is the pool finished and are they reducing service levels due to the recession. Live acts/shows up and coming, come on pull yer finger oot there are people waiting for your "Judith Chalmers updates"

One down 3 left:mad:

Judith Chalmers bit 1st for Looseman. Place is busy and new tower aint finished yet resulting in big over crowding at pool area although nearly always get a bed eventually.
Thing that has surprised and shocked me is HOW QUIET the Caesars cardroom is.
Venetian has taken over and is most deffo the number 1 place to play it seems.
The big deep stack games are getting 750/800 runners

1st game of 4

Golden Nugget WSOP Mini Series

$220 NL 1th June 174 runners

Decent table which included 2 " pros" and a drunk!!! 40 min blinds with 10k stack
Won some lost some but the trick was to pick up a hand against the drunk who wanted to play every pot. On his 6th drink he nips to the bog and old guy ships in seat infront of him for 1200 and Im sitting with AA (fml trust him to need a piss)
1st break 3 levels on 14k
Have to put down 10 10 on AJ flop n guy betting and 88 gets re raised off a pot.
I raise with AK to get re raised then a re raise again to which I fold. Flop is K high and re raiser is betting strong. He may as well of turned his AA over imo.

Getting to end of level 7 on 400/800 with 50 and Im down to 9k when guy in seat 2 raised to 2400. I flat to disguise hand strength and to miss Ace to a flop of Q103 rainbow. He bets 3k I ship he calls flipping AQ. Blank turn and the Cardguard QUEEN to send me to the rail:mad: Standard stuff tbh and feel I need to be more busy in earlier stages to get some chips and deffo more aggresive.

Must say I enjoyed the Golden Nugget. The hotel is well up market although downtown is on the seedy side. Cardroom we played in was the Grand Hall and anyone coming out I would well recommend taking in one of their mini series events.

Oh well Mr E arrives tomorrow so hope Vegas is ready for him and better luck in the next game.

p.s. for CG. Our adopted Geordie Skandie mate Andreas Hoieveld was at the pool yesterday so is probs staying at Caesars

Ka ching for the grand total of $220 in 11th place. Officially only ganna pay top 9 with final table of 10 but one of chip leaders wants everyone to get paid weeeeeeeeee!!!

Decent structured tournie this with plenty of play although blinds got brutal late on. 2 main hands where I got ships was QQ JJ 10 10 with my QQ paying and then Yank raised my BB from sb 3rd time from 4 orbits. I see a flop holding Q 10 and board comes Q9J and he checks. I fire in a bet and he goes all in having me covered for big pot. I decide to call and he flips AQ.
Blank turn but some of my outs are taken out to his f/draw. 5 outs to hit and bingo :8d:

Had my fair share of hands I must admit. Eventually shoving 8bbs from sb 9c7c into BB snap call of AK and no hit.

Feel rough today I must admit, divnt na how these young uns dee it night after night:) ( the poker )

Got phone call from Foggo at 4.30. Will be about an hour or so.

So 10.00 :) we eventually meet up in the Rio for a few drinks then Foggo is gobsmacked by Rio main room and star struck as we bump into Dan Negraneau and Foggos fkn tel camera wont work. Cuddles n pics dont come out but hes got plenty time for more

Just left him as he seeks a cash table somewhere somehow !!!!!!!

Next Event: Caesars $330 Deep Stack

Short n sweet this and very disappointed way the game went. Level 6 I bust out on 300/600 with 100 ante. Big stack to my sb serial raiser raises my BB for 4th time in 6 laps and I make the call with A 10. Flop come A 10 Q rainbow and he bets 1200 and I make it 3600 with 8k behind. He puts me all in and I eventually make the call for him to tell me he has the nuts KJ. BAD BAD call imo and very disappointed.

We getting ready now and going out for some good crack and nice food with Mr & Mrs E down the MGM and getting properly prepared for the biggy tomorrow at THE RIO

Seniors Event

1st amazing thing was walking to my table on day 1 and as I near it see Full Tilts old man George standing there with his England top on. Same table incredible!!!!
Playing 46 off and taking big pot down was classic moment I loved. old codgers face as I flipped it over will never be forgotten.
1st aim was to better last year which I went out 10 mins before the dinner break so was gutted when lost last hand before break priced in on BB with K7 hts coming back with only 1200 chips. An hour later Im on 20k with J 10 being my hand that got paid time after time.
Finished day on 25700 which was above average then 1st hand of day 2 Im BB and on a table with only 1 big stack. Guy on 14k makes standard raise mid position and Im sitting with 10 10. Decide to ship as I dont think hes calling with big Ace early stages for his tournie life but he snap calls flipping JJ and they hold. After table move Im on a very very tough table with some excellent players but hit a run of cards that gets me peaked at 46k.. Cruise the money and thats an experience in itself as a few hundred old codgers try to scrape there with loads of people sitting on 1, 2, & 3 BBs. The cheer as they announce " Youve made the money" and loads stand up cheering n clapping is amazing.
They drop like flys then and its when ya need ya cards which tbh I simply didnt get. Only had one major decision to make after that which was guy making big raise from 2nd pos who could deffo play and Im sitting with him covered 60/40 with AK. Put him on 10 10 JJ and decided not to race with him.
Level after dinner break was the killer as went completely card dead with high blinds n 500 ante. Didnt want to go as low as 5BBs tbh but wanted to make top 100 as well and when that broke found A4 hts utg and decided that was good enough but got looked up by AQ and no miracle 4 although turn did bring me a split gutshot hope.

Just trying to catch up with things as aint been online much but gotta say a big big thanks for all the support and superb comments and compliments which really mean so much to me and some superb pms. Im absolutely delighted to be able to return some cash for those that took an interest in me and just wish it cudda been a bit more chunky for them.

Special mention for those out here as MR & Mrs Entertainment have been superb company and fun to be with and Juicey Oranges for his ever calming words of wisdom and support. Thanks to my Mrs for her lucky kisses from the rail Thanks to my big pal Cardguard Kid in getting the info across and thanks to my 2 kids who have sent me some lovely e mails and said some lovely things I didnt really expect.
