On Tuesday night I played in the semifinal of the esport Heads Up League against a fellow member of another forum.
During the three games my opponent let the clock completely run down every time it was his turn. This resulted in the blinds getting higher for fewer hands being played at which point he went into all in or fold mode. I'd watched his quarter final results last week in which he used the same tactics.
Now I realise this is probably an optimum strategy for an inferior player to use as it takes a lot of the skill out of the game and makes it much more luck based.
However the game was worth a minimum increase of $1500 in prize money and I consider this strategy to be about as close as you can come to cheating without actually breaking the rules.
Would be interested in other peoples opinions.
